CD Series for capsule filling

CD 40 stations:

• Station # 1: Infeed of the oriented capsules and opening by means of suction cups
• Station # 2: Second opening of the capsules by means of suction cups. While the force of the vacuum is adjustable in the first station, the vacuum in the 2nd station has a fix value as this station works only as additional safety.
• Station # 3: Unopened capsules are rejected into a separated container
• Station # 4: Station suitable to install a pellet dosing group
• Station # 5: Station suitable to install a second pellet dosing group. The drive for both pellet dosing groups comes from 1 single cam with 1 single lever and shaft. The machine is already prepared for the installation of 1 or 2 pellet dosing groups, even at a later date.
• Station # 6: Powder dosing group
• Station # 7: Both capsule halves are brought together again
• Station # 8: Mechanical closure of the capsules by means of closing pins
• Station # 9: Mechanical discharge of the ready capsules
• Station # 10: Cleaning of the capsule holders by compressed air and vacuum so that only clean capsule holders are coming to station # 1

The powder dosers are performing vertical movements without any kind of rotation:

• The dosers are moved downwards into the powder in the rotating tank and thus are filled
• The lower dead center of each doser stops approximately 1/10 mm from the bottom of the rotating tank. The inner piston performs a short downward movement compacting the powder inside the doser.
  The stroke of the piston is adjustable, this way higher or lower powder compression can be obtained. In addition, each doser is vacuum-assisted with adjustable vacuum.
• The capsules are moved towards the doser, then powder ejection takes place by a long stroke of the piston, filling the capsules.
