Oftalmica liquid filling machine

Designed for active or passive oRABS. Full compliance to the needs of aseptic ophthalmic market, capable to safely handle preservative-free products. All components can be cleaned and sterilized in autoclave; the whole machine can be sanitised with VHP. Designed to optimise laminar airflow distribution in all critical process areas. The machine can be equipped with isolation technology.

Up to 8 volumetric rotary piston pumps in the filling area, singularly motorised. The dosing parameters of each pump can be set via HMI. The filling system can be easily assembled via gloves with machine doors closed, properly implementing the aseptic processing technique. The filling system can be equipped with ceramic or stainless-steel pumps, optionally with CIP/SIP system.

If required, the machine can be equipped with up to 4 peristaltic pumps instead of the piston pumps system.

Up to 3 closing stations can be integrated, normally for dropper and screw cap, or Aptar/Nemera caps. Ergonomic caps loading via GMP compliant procedure, avoiding any contamination of the components as well as of the machine environment.

Typical closing unit for ophthalmic application could be as follow: 

1. dropper insertion onto vial 
2. screw cap pre-screwing onto vial 
3. final closure of screw cap, with torque control upon request. 

For injectables, the capping unit would be a station to apply rubber stopper. 100% visual inspection for each capping station is included.
